Future Programs & Development

In Development

Behind the Wall Collective is currently in a development and structuring phase.
Alongside current courses and workshops, several long-term initiatives are being shaped.

🟤 Living Movement Archive

A future program dedicated to the documentation and transmission of Palestinian dance practices as living heritage.

The archive will focus on:

• women’s embodied knowledge

• dance in everyday and ceremonial contexts

• intergenerational transmission

Planned materials include:

• movement documentation

• oral histories

• written and visual research

This initiative aims to preserve practices that are often informal, unrecorded, and vulnerable to disappearance.

🟤 Summer Programs in Palestine

Beginning with seasonal initiatives, the collective plans to expand in-person workshops in Palestine, hosted in rented studios and community spaces.

These programs will:

• support children’s movement education

• offer women safe spaces for dance and expression

• strengthen local and diasporic connections

🟤 Research & Cultural Transmission

Future directions include:

• artist-led research

• collaborations with cultural and educational institutions

• development of pedagogical tools and publications

These initiatives will support the recognition of dance as a living, evolving cultural practice, rather than a fixed form.

A Growing Organisation

Behind the Wall Collective is building the foundations of a long-term cultural organisation, with its base between France and Palestine.
