These programs honor women as holders and transmitters of embodied knowledge, creating safe and inclusive environments for movement and sharing.

Living Movement Archive (Vision)

Beyond workshops and classes, Behind the Wall Collective aims to document and preserve dance as it exists in everyday life — in homes, celebrations, rituals, and community spaces across Palestine.

This evolving archive centers women and children as carriers of cultural memory and living heritage.

The name Behind the Wall reflects both lived reality and possibility.
It speaks to working beyond physical, social, and invisible barriers — and to the quiet strength of movement that continues to exist, transform, and be transmitted despite limitation.

Dance happens behind walls, beyond stages, and within everyday life.
